The main window of FlickEr is very clear-cut and to the point, featuring a field for entering the targeted images' URL, a menu to let you select the size of the files and a destination directory on your computer.

The program is able to download entire folders of images from flickr.com in one go, requiring you simply to input the proper Photostream, Album or Group URL into the dedicated field, in its window; other types of links are not supported.
However, bear in mind that for private pictures, you need to login to your account and authorize the application, in order for it to have access to those photos. Subsequently, you can select the preferred size for the files, with multiple options being available for you to choose from.
Finally, you can define the output destination of the images, then press on the ‘Download’ button. A progress bar will keep you informed about the level of completion of the task, letting you cancel it if necessary. This may take more or less time, depending on the amount of items being saved.

To conclude, FlickEr is a useful and simple to work with application that you can use for saving photographs from flickr.com, being able to obtain entire albums in one go, with little effort entailed. However, it could use some work in what concerns its ability to actually download the files, not all of them being grabbed by the utility, despite indicating otherwise.

Presets for an Easy Workflow
They make it easy to get the right settings very quickly, withoutreading a huge manual. Plugins should just work.
There are several presets for different types of video footage.These are settings we’ve found to work well in our tests. At best,they’ll instantly solve your flicker problems! (this happens a lot…so try one of the presets, it may be all you need to do) Otherwise,they provide a good starting point and you shouldn’t need to maketoo many tweaks. Every piece of video footage is different, ofcourse, but the types of flicker tend to be the same. So thepresets usually work quite well.

Slow Motion Footage
Many lights will cause flicker in slow motion footage. Normallights running on AC (Alternating Current) can fluctuate inbrightness as the electricity fluctuates (the ‘alternating’ in AC).These fluctuations in brightness can affect your footage if thecamera is shooting 120fps or faster. The higher the frame rate ofthe footage the more apparent it is. This can happen regardless ofwhether you’re shooing with a Phantom Flex, Sony FS700U or GoProHERO3 Black (shoots 240fps).
LED Lights
Most people don’t realize that many LED lights have a refresh ratesimilar to that of a computer monitor. If you’re camera isn’t insync with the refresh rate, you’ll get rolling bands going throughyour video.
Archival Footage
If you’re restoring older footage, flicker comes from a fewsources. 1) The film may have degraded over time, 2) The camera washand cranked making it difficult to maintain a consistent exposureover the course of the shot, and 3) older lights were more prone toflickering.
If the problem comes from Exposure, which would’ve been in theoriginal, then it’s a similar problem to time lapse. It effects thewhole frame and should be easy for Flicker Free to fix. It’ll lookbetter than it ever did!
