I have just moved to a new house and purchased a new 4K tv (the old one was 1080). Since the move, my 4K Apple TV won’t alternate thru the aerial screensaver sequences. It is stuck on “passing downtown Los Angeles”. When I swipe left or right the sequence stays the same. I changed the screensaver to Apple photos which worked fine. Select an Apple TV aerial screensaver. See the Apple TV aerial screensaver locations. You don’t have to wait for your screensaver to come on in order to see it. Just move to the top left of the Home screen on Apple TV and press the Menu button on your remote. When you see the aerial screensaver, just lightly tap the touchpad on your Siri.
When Apple introduced Apple TV 4, they also introduced beautifully filmed Aerial screensavers.
A setting in ATV allows it to check regularly for new ones and download them automatically. Only a few of them are downloaded at any given time, so check your settings for how frequently you want ATV to refresh your local copies.
In December 2016 Apple greatly expanded the list of Aerial screensavers. The table below has been updated to include all locations. When Day and Night views are available, Apple TV will cycle thru the appropriate ones based on your local time.

Start an Aerial screen saver
Your Apple TV displays a screen saver after it's been idle for a certain number of minutes. You can start the screen saver at any time. Just go to the top left-hand corner of the Home screen on your Apple TV and press the Menu button on your Apple TV Remote.

To change the number of minutes before a screen saver starts, go to Settings > General > Screen Saver and select Start After.
Aerial screen savers aren't available on Apple TV (2nd and 3rd generation).

Ever wonder what location you’re watching in an Aerial screen saver? While the location is playing, just tap the Touch surface on your Apple TV Remote.
Switch to a different location
You can't choose a specific Aerial to play on your Apple TV, but you can choose a theme. Just go to Settings > General > Screen Saver > Themes. Swipe and select a theme to Show or Hide it when your Aerials play.
To switch between Aerial locations, swipe right or left on the Touch surface of your Apple TV Remote while the Aerial is playing.

- If you're listening to music on your Apple TV while an Aerial is playing, tap the right- or left-hand side of the Touch surface to play the next or previous song.
- You can choose how often new Aerials are downloaded. Go to Settings > General > Screen Saver and select Download New Video to change your settings.
The number of Aerials that you can download depends on how much storage is available on your Apple TV. To manage storage on your Apple TV, go to Settings > General > Manage Storage.
